Keeping your account information up to date is essential, especially when it comes to your address. Whether you need to update your primary (physical) address, mailing address, or both, you can easily submit a request through your online portal.
However, there are different documentation requirements depending on which address you want to change. If you cannot provide the required documentation for a primary address change, you can still update your mailing address.
This guide explains the process and what is needed to successfully update your address.
Primary (Physical) vs. Mailing Address
🔹 Primary (Physical) Address – This is your residential address, where you physically live. To update this address, you must provide a current utility bill in your name that matches the new address.
🔹 Mailing Address – This is the address where you receive mail. The documentation requirements for changing your mailing address are less strict, so if you do not have a utility bill, you can update only your mailing address instead.
📌 If you do not have a current utility bill (e.g., you live with family, travel frequently, or reside in a non-traditional setting), you can keep your primary address as-is and update only your mailing address. You can change your primary address later when you have the required documentation.
Steps to Change Your Address in the Portal
1️⃣ Log in to your Online Portal.
2️⃣ Click the Profile tab on the left side of the screen.
3️⃣ Click the Update Address button under the User Information tab.
4️⃣ Choose whether you are changing your Primary (Physical) Address, Mailing Address, or both.
5️⃣ Enter all required address information in the appropriate fields.
6️⃣ Upload a current utility bill showing your name and new physical address (if changing your primary address).
7️⃣ Click the Review button.
8️⃣ If the system marks your address as "not deliverable," check the box to confirm the address is correct, then click Review again.
9️⃣ Click the Submit button.
✅ Your address will be updated within 3-5 business days once your request is received and verified.
What If I Don’t Have a Utility Bill?
If you cannot provide a utility bill to update your primary address, you have two options:
1️⃣ Update Only Your Mailing Address – This allows you to receive mail at a new location while keeping your primary address unchanged.
2️⃣ Wait Until You Can Provide Documentation – If your living situation changes in the future and you obtain a utility bill in your name, you can update your primary address at that time.
