Completing Your SDIRA Onboarding Process Through IRA Central
If you are opening a Self-Directed IRA (SDIRA) with American Estate & Trust (AET), you must complete an onboarding process before your account becomes active. This process involves providing your personal information, a current photo ID, and accepting the terms and conditions of your account. Below are the steps to ensure your onboarding is completed successfully.
Step 1: Locate Your Onboarding Email
After initiating the account setup, you will receive an email from AET containing a secure link to complete the onboarding process. If you do not see this email in your inbox, check your spam or junk folder. If you still cannot find it, contact your representative, advisor, or AET Support for assistance.
Step 2: Access the Onboarding Portal
Click the link in the email to access the onboarding portal. If you have already established login credentials (username) during the account setup, you can also log in directly at aetrust.com to complete the process.
Step 3: Provide Required Information
While your representative or advisor may enter some of your personal details on your behalf, you must personally review and confirm the information before proceeding.
Step 4: Accept the Terms and Conditions
You must personally accept the terms and conditions to complete the onboarding process. Representatives and advisors cannot sign or accept terms on behalf of the Account Holder.
Step 5: Submit and Verify Completion
Once you have provided all necessary information and accepted the terms, submit your onboarding form. You should receive a confirmation that your onboarding is complete.
